A Little Boy's Encounter With John 3:16
(Article Shared By Our Reader Helen Gordon - U.K. - Thank You)
A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner; the people were in and out of the cold. The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell many papers. He walked up to a policeman and said, "Mister, you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy could find a warm place to sleep tonight would you? You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and down the alley and it's awful cold in there for tonight. Sure would be nice to have a warm place to stay."

The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, "you go down the street to that big white house and you knock on the door. When they come out the door you just say
John 3:16
and they will let you in."

So he did. He walked up the steps and knocked on the door, and a lady answered. He looked up and said, "John 3:16." The lady said, "Come on in, Son." She took him in and she sat him down in a split bottom rocker in front of a great big old fireplace, and she went off.
The boy sat there for a while and thought to himself: John 3:16...I don't understand it, but it sure makes a cold boy warm.

Later she came back and asked him "Are you hungry?" He said, "Well, just a little. I haven't eaten in a couple of days, and I guess I could stand a little bit of food," The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him down to a table full of wonderful food. He ate and ate until he couldn't eat any more.
Then he thought to himself: John 3:16...Boy, I sure don't understand it but it sure makes a hungry boy full.
She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge bathtub filled with warm water, and he sat there and soaked for a while. As he soaked, he thought to himself: John 3:16... I sure don't understand it, but it sure makes a dirty boy clean. You know, I've not had a bath, a real bath, in my whole life. The only bath I ever had was when I stood in front of that big old fire hydrant as they flushed it out. The lady came in and got him. She took him to a room, tucked him into a big old feather bed, pulled the covers up around his neck, kissed him goodnight and turned out the lights. As he lay in the darkness and looked out the window at the snow coming down on that cold night, he thought to himself: John 3:16...I don't understand it but it sure makes a tired boy rested.

The next morning the lady came back up and took him down again to that same big table full of food. After he ate, she took him back to that same big old split bottom rocker in front of the fireplace and picked up a big old Bible. She sat down in front of him and looked into his young face. "Do you understand John 3:16?" she asked gently. He replied, "No, Ma'am, I don't. The first time I ever heard it was last night when the policeman told me to use it," She opened the Bible to John 3:16 and began to explain to him about Jesus. Right there, in front of that big old fireplace, he gave his heart and life to Jesus.
He sat there and thought: John 3:16....don't understand it, but it sure makes a lost boy feel safe.

You know, I have to confess I don't understand it either, how God was willing to send His Son to die for me, and how Jesus would agree to do such a thing. I don't understand the agony of the Father and every angel in heaven as they watched Jesus suffer and die. I don't understand the intense love for ME that kept Jesus on the cross till the end. I don't understand it, but it sure does make life worth living.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God bless you.  Thank you for sharing these few precious moments with YIELDED TO CHRIST MISSION MINISTRY.

Reach For His Hand

Sharing A Personal Testimony By Pastor Dr Billy Graham

The LORD, He is the One who goes before you.  He will be with you.  - Deuteronomy 31:8

Once many years ago when I was going through a dark period I prayed and prayed, but the heavens seemed to be brass.  I felt as though God had disappeared and that I was alone with my trial and burden.  It was a dark night for my soul.
I wrote my mother about the experience and will never forget her reply:  "Son, there are many times when God withdraws to test your faith.  He wants you to trust Him in the darkness.  Now, Son, reach up by faith in the fog and you will find that His hand will be there."

In tears, I knelt by my bed and experienced an overwhelming sense of God's presence.

Beloved friends and family in Jesus, whether or not we feel God's presence when our way seems dark, by faith we know He is there.  You can stake your life on His promise:  "I will never leave you nor forsake you." - Hebrews 13:5

Yes!  REACH FOR HIS HAND - GOD WILL BE THERE !!!

Thank you for sharing these precious moments with YIELDED TO CHRIST MISSION MINISTRY.  God bless you.  Amen.

. We have received requests from many wanting to know how to stand against the devil's temptations and attacks in their lives and today we like to share with you a few thoughts to overcome satan and make him flee, with the power of Jesus. Yes, we will pray for each one of you that God will give you wisdom and guidance in your daily walk with Him. Remember, even though we are now God's redeemed and forgiven children, we are not perfect yet, because as long as we are on earth, we are still in our human body and are subject to temptations to sin. Satan will attack us in the flesh to try to get us to sin and disobey God but Praise God, Jesus has given us victory over Satan. We need not give in to the devil's temptation, instead God instructs us to resist the devil and he will flee from us. How can we do that you may ask? Here are what you can do to resist the devil's tricks and lies and temptations: (1) Most Important - You must put on the full armour of God in order to defeat the devil and overcome temptations. Please read Ephesians 6:10-18. This is your secret that God has shown to us to overcome satan. In faith, ask the Holy Spirit inside you to help you and guide you. (2) Know your Bible - God's Word is the Sword of the Spirit and we are to use it to counter-attack the devil when he attacks us with his lies, deceits and temptations. Do not give in to him. You need to set aside specific time each day to read and meditate on God's Word so that you will know how to walk close to Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit in you that God has given to every born-again Christian, to teach you, help you understand God's Word and guide you into all truth. (3) You need to Pray earnestly, without ceasing so that you are in tune with God. Prayer is very, very important, without prayer you will be a weak Christian and easily swayed and be discouraged by the devil's lies. Prayer keeps you strong in your faith and will equip you to resist and overcome the devil. Yes, Hallelujah! Amen. Pray without ceasing is not difficult - it simply means you talk to God in prayer frequently during the course of the day. It means being aware and conscious of God's presence in your life and walking closely to Jesus. (4) Remember, Jesus is here with you always to help you and give you power and keep you strong. Call upon the Name of Jesus - the Mighty Name of Jesus has power to break all evil bonds and drive the devil away! Yes! Hallelujah! Amen. You must abide in Jesus and desire in your heart to honour God in your life and tell God you want to walk close to God and to obey Him as He guides you in your ways. Without obedience, you will not be blessed. (5) Flee temptations, any temptation that comes your way - do not play with fire! You do not know how strong this weapon of the devil can be - many Christians have fallen prey to temptations because they think they are strong enough, little knowing that once you slacken in your walk with God, you will fall prey to this attack of satan. So, be wise - get away from temptation as fast as you can, especially the sexual type! Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you and help you. (6) Finally, whenever you sin, immediately confess your sins to Jesus in prayer and sincerely ask Him for forgiveness and repent and turn away from the sin. Jesus knows our weakness. He will forgive us. We will pray for you that God will help you grow strong in your faith and help you to put on the full armour of God everyday, so that you will be able to stand against the devil and resist him and he will flee from you. We do not fight with our own strength, but we fight in the mighty victorious power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and in Jesus, we will and have conquered satan already. We are Victorious in Jesus! Amen. God bless you. Amen.

Our Dear Pastors, Church Leaders, Friends and Family in Christ,

Wonderful Greetings In Jesus Name.  It's Autumn now in London and days are getting shorter with each passing moment.  Night comes earlier and gets dark quickly.  Likewise, our opportunities to serve God will one day end soon and we will not be able to do any more service for Jesus - therefore, let us redeem our time and do our best to share the Good News of Salvation to hungry souls everywhere, winning them for God.

How are you doing?  Our prayers are that God is leading, guiding and moving you and your church mightily forward for His Glory and Honor.  Yes, all glory and honor be unto our Almighty God today and forever.  Amen.

We feel burdened to share with you a thought-provoking and challenging article called "Calling Christians Everywhere To PRAY" and pray that it will bring you encouragement, help and inspiration in your daily walk with Jesus.  As Pastors and Church Leaders, may you be encouraged and challenged to faithfully shepherd and lead your flock in the way that God has shown us in His Word for the Glory of God.

We pray that you be bountifully blessed even as you bless others with the love of Jesus and point many hungry souls to Salvation in Jesus.  Amen.

A Christian's Faith - Claiming God's Word Is Precious Beyond Measure

“Lord, anything can happen here tonight,” Pastor Wally prayed. “But please, don’t allow them to take my life.”

As the beating continued, Pastor Wally continued to pray for his Saudi torturers. In the midst of his prayers, he was reminded of verses that say that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit“

Thank you for allowing me to be your temple,” Wally prayed. “I believe that you don’t want a temple that is ruined and abused by the enemy, God. You want a temple that is glorified and full of your splendor. I am claiming a complete restoration of my body, Lord.

No matter what these torturers do, I pray that you will be glorified all the more when I am completely healed. People will not see a trace of what these torturers did to my body.”Pastor Wally’s back and legs were beaten with a cane, and his hands and feet were bruised almost beyond use. Finally, they returned him to his cell when they were too tired to continue torturing this Christian.Wally prayed for hours and then fell into a fitful sleep during which he sensed God’s presence and healing touch. When he awoke, his hands and feet were healed. He felt no pain from the beatings. Wally was overwhelmed, for God had healed him.

Did Pastor Wally go too far when he prayed in faith for his healing? Did he take advantage of Scripture in his brazen request? The evidence would seem to suggest that Wally did none of these things.

In fact, Pastor Wally simply took God at his word. Many Christians would benefit by doing more of the same. Yet we cannot take God at his word if we do not know it.

Pastor Wally was able to recall encouraging verses in the time of need because he had spent time in Scripture. Many faithful Christians who are beaten are not instantly healed, but God uses our testimonies whether we are healed or not. Are you able to recall God’s Word when necessary? Do you know more about Scripture than you know of the actual Scriptures? Tell God that you are ready to take him at his word.

Thank you for sharing these precious moments with YIELDED TO CHRIST MISSION MINISTRY.  God bless you.

Thy Prayer Is Heard

Sharing With You God's Word Adapted From An Article By Our Dear Sister Karen Brooks - USA

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
The angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elizabeth
shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. - Luke 1:6, 13
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much - James 5:16
Today I would like to dwell on the wonderful thought of  "Thy Prayer Is Heard."

It should be the desire of every Christian to bear spiritual fruit. To see sons and daughters born into the Kingdom of God, just as it was with Zacharias prayer to have a natural  child, despite his old age.

I believe if we want our prayers to be heard, we have to be living the kind of life Zacharias and Elizabeth were.

A clean and pure heart and mind desiring to do what ever the Lord would have them to. Serving in obedience and humility.  It had been a prayer of Zacharias and the Angel brought this wonderful message but didn't leave out the part concerning Zacharias prayer.

Sometimes we pray and it is just a multitude of words. Sometimes because our  heart is not right with God we cannot see our prayers answered.  But this was not the case with Zacharias.  God had heard this godly man's prayer.  Zacharias had waited a long time and had probably given up hope of having a son now that he was old.

But God remembered Zacharias in a great way.  Have you ever asked God to do something and he did that and not only that, but very much more than you expected him to do?  Yes, God has done this for me many, many times, and I am sure our loving God has done this for you in your life too.  Praise the Lord.

We have shared the Bible's teaching on Fervent Prayer before, but for those of you who are new or have missed it, let me explain.  Effectual means capable of producing a desired effect or result.  Fervent means to be very passionate about, in other words, a heart felt prayer.  Do you know - when we groan in the Spirit while praying earnestly, our God always hears us.  He has promised in the Bible - always hears the cries and prayers of those who love and obey Him.  That's a Promise most precious beyond measure - we can count on it 100 percent!

Sometimes our hearts may be so heavy that the Spirit has to intercede for us in prayer because the words just won't come.  God knows the heart and the desires of them. He knows when we are sincere and we know when He hears us.  I believe you can feel when your prayer has been heard.  The Angel told Zacharias to "Fear Not" Thy Prayer  Is Heard. When our prayer has been heard God always sends our spirit a message of reassuring peace. We just can feel it.  Yes, we can.  Amen.

So this is a good Scripture to memorize, remember and to remind us all - Never To Give Up On Our Prayers!  Not to stop praying for what is so strong upon our heart.  We must be patient and wait upon the Lord.  If we wait upon the Lord, He will answer and strengthen our heart.  What a spiritual strength this answered prayer would be to Zacharias and Elizabeth.  Oh! To have been chosen by God, to be used in such a special way. what a special honor!  Amen.

Oh! so many times when others would revile or scorn at them, no doubt the load sometimes got so heavy to bear, but God's strength always come to those He love, and we can be renewed and refreshed in the spirit.  When Zacharias prayer was answered in such a miraclulous way, oh! how wonderful to receive such a message of victory and hope!

God is no respector of persons. He can still send his messengers today to deliver hope and peace to our hearts as well.  He loved Zacharias and Elizabeth and he loves you too.

Never give up on those desires of your heart. Take this couple as your example today that God can use you too for his honor and glory.

What God may have in store for you and me today, we cannot even imagine!  Put your trust in Jesus and simply take Him at His Word!

A righteous man and a effectual fervent prayer availeth much.  And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice... Luke 1:14  May God bless you today!  Amen.

Thank you for sharing these treasures with YIELDED TO CHRIST MISSION MINISTRY.  Amen.
